Faith is what we are all about. It is a rich and complex subject. This page lists the faith-related resources that are available on our web site.
In a hurry to get a bead on us? Read this essay to get a brief overview.
Want to hear a recent sermon, or review some of the older ones? We maintain a sermon library that sometimes includes notes, sermon studies, and a chance for you to ask questions! Click here to see it.
Some churches call it “Christianity 101,” and others might call it something else, but nearly every church offers a mini-survey of their beliefs for people interested in joining or for members' review. We do, too. We're a small church, so the "class" isn't always in session, but here is a summary of the material that we present in that class for your review. The survey normally takes seven sessions, usually held one day per week.
| Session | Material Covered |
| How we know about God. Reading and interpreting the Bible. | |
| What God requires of us. The Ten Commandments. The Old Testament. | |
| The Good News of Jesus Christ. The nature and work of Jesus. Truth and lies about Jesus. | |
| Grace and Works. Prayer. The Holy Spirit and the Christian life. | |
5? | Baptism. Origins. The Christian World View. |
6? | The Lord's Supper. Faith in the long run. Eternal Life. |
7? | History of the Church. Denominations. Worship. |
I'm also working on "follow-up questions" for each week. You could use these as devotions to be done in between the weeks of material to reinforce and build on the material we cover together. They are designed to stimulate questions and reflection.
